Tuba City Unified School District Standard Response Protocol

image of the SRP Handbook
THE STANDARD RESPONSE PROTOCOL OVERVIEW A critical ingredient in the safe school recipe is the uniform classroom response to an incident at school. Weather events, fires, accidents, intruders and other threats to student safety are scenarios that are planned and trained for by school and district administration and staff.
TCUSD is striving to create and maintain safe schools for all students. For this reason, we have adopted the Standard Response Protocol (SRP). The SRP allows for standard language to be used by all- this includes students, staff, and first responders. All teachers, staff, students and administrators are trained in partnership with our community first responders. The SRP protocol has five specific actions that can be performed during an incident with great flexibility. The standardized vocabulary allows all stakeholders to understand the response and the status of events. We appreciate you taking the time to view this page and to educate yourself on the Standard Response Protocol.
