A message from Lynette Stant – TCHS Alumni
My name is Raye Lynn McCabe and I am the proud principal of Tuba City High School. This will be my 22nd year at Tuba City High School, with 18 of those years teaching mathematics and four years as the building principal. It truly has been a remarkable experience for me and I can truly say that I am dedicated to being a Warrior.
I would like to welcome all our returning and new students to the upcoming school year. I wish everyone good health and good minds. There are a lot of emotions out in the world, in our nation and in our community but let me encourage you to have a good attitude and make the most of any challenges and obstacles that come your way. If we are mindful that these challenges help us evolve and grow, then we can build our resiliency throughout these crucial times.
Just a reminder that the first day of school is scheduled for August 17 at 7:45am. We will be sending out paper packets for the beginning of the school year, until we get our Learning Management System (LMS) in place and our iPads distributed. Our district will be using the Schoology (LMS) and students and parents will be updated when these are available. Once you get your schedule, please take some time to find their teacher’s email address on the TCHS website. Have your student email their teacher so that they can set up either a Zoom or teleconference meetings. While we all hope for a smooth rollout, we are prepared for and understand that there may be issues that arise. You are welcome to contact TCHS at 928.283.1050 and we will assist you as best we can.
I look forward to the day when I can greet you at the front door of our building but until then, just know that we are thinking of our students and we miss seeing our students and their families.
Raye Lynn McCabe
Welcome back to the 2020-2021 school year! As the Assistant Principal of Tuba City High School (TCHS), it is a pleasure to extend my greetings to everyone for another great year. For returning families, I look forward to a continued positive working relationship. Thank you for your support and cooperation in helping make our school a successful, collaborative place where our children are always striving to achieve. For families new to TCHS, our school is eager to support your child in transitioning into our amazing school. Our school is committed to differentiating and integrating the learning we do to serve all of our students. Here at TCHS, we strive to challenge each student to grow in his or her academic abilities and be college-ready by the end of four years. We have great teachers who spend hours planning and creating classroom lessons to engage our students in learning. Our teachers utilize research-based best practices and analyze academic data to determine current skill levels and set goals for growth and improvement.
I’m honored to serve as the Assistant Principal of Tuba City High School. It is truly a privilege to be part of a community where parents, teachers, and student care for each other and strive to build positive relationships, that support academic, and social growth. We are committed to strengthening the collaboration between TCHS and the families of each student.
Once again, welcome back! Let’s make this another great year at Tuba City High School.
Mrs. Loretta Eltsosie, Assistant Principal
