Dear Parents/Guardians,
Welcome back students and parents. I am writing to inform you about an update regarding the pick-up location for students participating in late activities at Tuba City Unified School District #15.
Starting August 5, 2024, to May 22, 2025, we will be implementing a new drop-off location for students involved in late activities such as sports practices, tutoring sessions, and other after-school programs. This change is being made to improve efficiency and ensure the safety of our students at pick-up locations.
New Drop-off Location: The designated drop-off locations for students participating in late activities will be at the following locations:
- Cameron Deli -6:30 pm
- Gap Store -6:30 pm
- Red Lake Store -6:15 pm
- Shonto Market Place -6:45 pm
- Willow Tree on Route 21 -6:30 pm
- Hotevilla Store -6:30 pm
- Dinnebeto Junction -6:15 pm
These locations have been chosen to centralize the pick-up process, facilitate smooth transitions at the new drop-off locations, and to ensure our Tuba City Unified School District #15 school bus drivers are following the new Department of Public Safety policy according to Arizona Administrative Code § 13-13-104.
Procedures:
1. Please arrive at the designated pick-up location, and specified times will be announced.
2. Bus Driver will be present to assist with directing students to ensuring they are safely picked up by parents/guardians.
3. For security reasons, provide identification when collecting your child.
We kindly request your cooperation in adhering to these new arrangements to minimize disruption and ensure the safety of all students. If you have any questions or concerns regarding these changes, please do not hesitate to contact us at the Transportation office at (928) 283-1135 and/or Security at (928) 679-0148.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we strive to enhance the overall experience for our students.
Best Regards,
Arnold Begay, Supervisor of Transportation
