SUP With the Supt: Week 2 With TCUSD Maintenance & Facilities

Good afternoon, TCUSD Family,
Last week, I kicked off SUP with the Supt Listening Series, by spending time with our Transportation Department. I really enjoyed the opportunity to listen, learn more about their work, and hear directly from the people who help get our students safely to and from school every day. That video will be published soon.
This week, I’m excited to continue the listening series with our Maintenance & Facilities Department!
Week 2 – Celebrating Success
This week, I want to focus on something we sometimes don't do enough; celebrating what is going right and recognizing the people making it happen.
As I spend time with our Maintenance & Facilities team, I want to hear:
-
What’s working well?
-
Who deserves recognition?
-
What should we continue doing?
Our Maintenance & Facilities team does so much work behind the scenes. From keeping our campuses clean and safe, to maintaining our buildings and grounds, taking care of district housing, responding when something breaks, and preparing our facilities for students and staff; their work touches every part of TCUSD.
The purpose of SUP with the Supt is simple: I don't want to lead our district only from the District Office. I want to get out into our departments and schools, listen to the people doing the work, learn what is going well and what we can improve, and make sure our employees know that their voices matter. And this week, I especially want to hear about the WINS!
If someone in Maintenance & Facilities has gone above and beyond, I want to know about it. If there is something that department is doing well, I want to hear about it. And if there is something working that we need to protect and continue, let's celebrate that too.
There is a lot of great work happening across TCUSD, and I want us to get better at telling those stories.
Stronger Together.

Have a great week, Warriors!
