This afternoon, our TCUSD elementary educators continued their professional learning with Dr. Valenzuela, focusing on strengthening Tier 1 instruction through differentiated instruction. The work centered on practical strategies our teachers can take directly back into their classrooms, including purposeful grouping, explicit instruction, opportunities for practice and reflection, and using evidence of student learning to determine next steps.

I really appreciate our teachers for continuing to learn, reflect, collaborate, and challenge themselves for our students. This is the work that moves us forward, not as individual classrooms or schools, but as one district committed to getting better together. Thank you to Dr. Valenzuela and everyone who helped make today’s learning possible!
