Monday Motivation: Let the Juggling Begin!

Good Monday Morning, TCUSD Family!
Today is the day. Our students are back, our classrooms are ready, and the 2026–2027 school year officially begins! Last week, we talked about how championships are not built on game day. They are built through preparation, teamwork, and doing the little things well every day. Today, all that preparation comes to life.
As Dr. Thornell reminded us at Convocation; we are all juggling something. Lessons, schedules, transportation, meals, safety, technology, facilities, deadlines, and the unexpected moments that are guaranteed to come. There may even be times when we drop the ball. What matters is that we pick it back up, help one another, and keep moving forward together. Through everything we juggle, we must never lose sight of what matters most: the child standing in front of us.
For some students, your smile may be the first encouragement they receive today. Your patience may help calm an anxious heart. Your words may give a student the confidence to try again. Your belief in them may change the direction of their entire life. Today, let us welcome every student and family with warmth, patience, and Warrior Pride. Let us be visible, encouraging, and fully present. Most importantly, let us remind our students through both our words and actions that they belong here; they are valued, and we believe in them. Thank you for everything you have done to prepare for this moment. Let’s make this first day one our students will always remember.
Kids Come First. Stronger Together.
