Red Ribbon Week: October 23–31, 2026

Good morning, TCUSD Family!
October 23–31 is Red Ribbon Week, a time for us to come together and reinforce the importance of making healthy choices, living drug-free, and building a positive future for our students. This year's theme is “Make a Difference. Be a Hero. Stay Drug Free.” I think that message speaks to the important role each of us plays in the lives of our students.
One thing I truly believe is that we have an opportunity every single day to make a difference in the life of a student. Sometimes it is through a lesson, sometimes through a conversation, and sometimes simply by being that positive adult who believes in them. As we recognize Red Ribbon Week across TCUSD, I encourage our schools to find meaningful ways to engage students in conversations about healthy choices, positive relationships, and the importance of looking out for one another. Our students need to know they are valued, supported, and capable of accomplishing great things.
I also want to thank each of you for the role you play in creating safe, supportive, and welcoming schools. The relationships we build and the examples we set matter far beyond the classroom. Let's make Red Ribbon Week more than just a week of awareness. Let's continue building a culture where every student knows they matter, they belong, and their future is worth protecting. Thank you for everything you do for our students and our district!
