Dear Tuba City Jr. High Families,

We are proud to share some exciting news: Tuba City Junior High School has earned a letter grade of a B! This achievement reflects the hard work, commitment, and resilience of our students, staff, and families. We are especially proud of our students, whose dedication to doing well brought us within just 8 points of an A—a powerful sign of the progress we’re making together.

We want to thank you for choosing Tuba City Jr. High School and for your continued support. Your involvement in your child’s education plays a vital role in their success, and we are grateful for the partnership we share with our families.

As we celebrate this milestone, we remain focused on our goal: becoming an A-rated school. With your support and our students’ continued effort, we know we can get there.

Important November Reminders:

  • Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, November 3.
  • Picture Day – Tuesday, November 4
  • Veterans Day – Tuesday, November 11 (No School)
  • Parent-Teacher Conferences – Thursday, November 13, from 1 pm to 4 pm and 5 pm to 7 pm.
  • Thanksgiving Break – Monday, November 24 through Friday, November 28 (No School)

We encourage all parents to check their child’s grades regularly and address any concerns directly with their teachers. Open communication and early support can make a big difference in helping students stay on track and finish the quarter strong.

Thank you again for being part of our school community. Let’s continue working together to support our students and help them reach their full potential.

With gratitude,

Ms. C. Benally, Ed.Sp. – Principal

Meet The Principal

Hello! My name is Constance Benally, and I am proud to serve as the Principal of Tuba City Jr. High School.  I have been in education for 26 years, with 19 of these years dedicated to the Tuba City Unified School District.  Over the course of my career, I’ve had the privilege of serving in a variety of roles, including school counselor, classroom teacher, dean of students, and now principal.
I am passionate about working with teachers, parents, and students, and I strongly believe that every individual has the potential to become a positive, contributing citizen.  My goal is to help nurture that potential by fostering a supportive and empowering school environment.
I truly love and respect my teachers for their hard work and unwavering dedication to our students. Tuba City Jr. High School holds a special place in my heart, and I find great joy in watching our students grow academically, emotionally, and socially as they become confident and self-sufficient young adults.
I look forward to continuing to serve our school community and working together to ensure success for all our students.
