Tsinaabaas Habitiin Elementary School is a public school located in Gap, Arizona and is a part of the Tuba City Unified School District serving children on the Navajo Reservation.  The Tsinaabaas Habitiin Elementary School building was completed in the year 2004 and has been playing a significant role in providing the best education to its students.  Tsinaabaas Habitiin Elementary School offers quality education to students in grades, Kindergarten through Fourth Grade.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Thank you for your support as we finish Quarter 1! As we move forward, please help your child be at school every day and on time. We teach bell to bell with language instruction in the mornings and math in the afternoons, so avoiding early check-outs is greatly appreciated.
We are proud to share that Tuba City Unified School District is now a “B” rated district! This reflects our strong focus on teaching and student achievement.
Please review the important dates below:

  • Nov. 2 – Daylight Savings Time (set clocks back one hour)
  •  Wednesdays – Tutoring (no tutoring on early dismissal days)
  • Nov. 6 – Lockdown Drill for school safety
  • Nov. 7 – Diné Bizaad Showcase, 1:30 PM in the Gym — Families welcome!
  • Nov. 11 – No School, Veterans Day
  • Nov. 12–13 – Parent-Teacher Conferences at 1-7pm & Early Dismissal at 12:00 PM. This is our second conference of the school year—please attend to review progress since Quarter 1
  • Nov. 17 – Early Dismissal at 12:00 PM
  • Nov. 17–21 – Culture Week – A week of activities celebrating culture and tradition
  • Nov. 18 – Thanksgiving Lunch (fee per plate) & Family Art Night at 5:30 PM – We encourage strong family involvement and hope to see you there!
  • Nov. 20 – Site Council Meeting at 6:00 PM (In-person & Zoom) We would love more parent participation—your voice matters!
  • Nov. 24–28 – Thanksgiving Break — Return Dec. 1
