Spaghetti & Meatballs (2-Day Event) March 4 & 5

Let’s make spaghetti and meatballs!

Meatball ingredients
- 1 pound of beef, (80/20 is best but feel free to use what you have)
- 1 pound ground pork (Use all beef if it’s easier or you prefer all beef)
- 1 cub breadcrumbs (any type is fine of you can use 2 slices of sandwich bread)
- ¼ cup milk (or water)
- 2 eggs
- 1 bunch of parsley
- 1 box of fresh basil
- 1 Large yellow onion
- 1 head of garlic
- Dried “Italian” herbs like oregano, thyme and/or rosemary
- Salt and pepper
- Dried red pepper (optional)
- Parmesan cheese (at least a half cup)
This recipe is easy to make and delicious. Don’t let the long list of ingredients scare you. Once you make this a few times, you won’t even need a recipe any more.
Sauce and Pasta
- Extra virgin olive oil
- TWO 28 ounce cans of whole peeled tomatoes (If you like sauce that’s less chunky, used “crushed” tomatoes
- 1 small can of tomato paste
- 1 or 2 pounds of spaghetti (1 pound feeds about four people)
- Gear List
- Big mixing bowl
- Baking sheet
- Tongs
- Pot for spaghetti
- Knife and cutting board
