from the superintendent
July 6, 2021
I am humbled and honored to be appointed as the Superintendent of the Tuba City Unified School District. I have had the privilege of meeting many of our community members and I greatly appreciate the warm welcome. I will take this next week to tour our facilities and community and meet as many of you as possible. I want to thank our community for your hard work these past months and know our children are better off because of your commitment to working with us (TCUSD) and know we are committed to working even closer with you in the months to come.
Please know your children(s) personal safety and mental health are one of my top priorities. Our students will be returning to the classrooms for 2021-2022 school year and we will be ready to greet them with open arms, fist bumps & high 5’s. Our reopening plan will be worked through in the coming days and all stakeholders will be involved in this planning as it takes us all to bring our children and community back safely to in-person learning.
My hope is you are getting some time to enjoy your families and friends. I look forward to working with you all for a fantastic 2021-2022 school year.
Sincerely,
Dr. Terry Maurer
